Step by Step (Checklist)

1

Get the ARR certificate: Sign up at a training school. It costs about 500–600 RON and the exam is multiple choice.

2

Choose how you will work: Find a fleet partner or use your own SRL or PFA. A fleet handles the employment contract and the certified copy for the car.

3

Get an intra-EU VAT number (PFA/SRL only): Uber and Bolt invoice their commission from other EU countries, so you need a special VAT number (form 700 at ANAF) before your first ride. Not needed through a fleet.

4

Register in the apps: Download Uber Driver and Bolt Driver and upload the required documents.

5

Put on the badges: Once you have the certified copy, stick the badges on the rear and front windscreens.

What does all this cost?
